Parent Council
Parent Council consists of PMHS parents that assist the school in its mission to equip students for leadership, peacemaking,
Parents take the initiative of working together to make sure PMHS can function in every way from planning fundraisers to planning
Saturday service days. Parent council meetings are the 2nd Thursday of every month at 6pm.

Parent Volunteer
Program (PVP)
Every PMHS parent completed a Parental Assistance Agreement (PAA) required for enrollment. Each PMHS household must give
20 volunteer hours to the school each year. The purpose for these hours is:
•Contribute to the PMHS community
•Encourage PMHS students
•Improve the image of the PMHS community
Parents are able to receive hours from official
PMHS meetings, chaperoning, front office, teachers aide, ambassador opportunities, etc. Contact the PAA Coordinator for volunteer
opportunities.
Volunteer Opportunities:
PMHS Parent Council is hosting an International Feast at our January's parent
council meeting scheduled to be held on Thursday, January 12, 2012 at 6:00 pm at the school building. Parents can bring a food
that represents a particular country or culture. Email us at pc_secretary@pmhs98.net no later than Tuesday, January
10, 2012 with the dish you plan on bringing, and number of people attending. We also need beverages
and desserts. Parent council will provide the condiments.
PVP Officers:

This position will
represent the face of the parent volunteer program and find/create opportunities for parents to serve on behalf of the PMHS community.
Asst. PAA Coordinator: (Coming soon)
This position will make sure that the system of verifiying and tracking parent
hours is functioning correctly and to fill in for the PAA Coordinator when necessary.

This position will collect the forms generated from this program and send our info quarterly to parents to keep them informed
of their progress.
The PVP program and its officers are accountable to Parent Council.
